A Letter from Our Leader Dear Friends and Supporters, This quarter, Good Days has taken significant strides in our mission to improve healthcare access and combat chronic diseases. Our Chronic Disease Day campaign rallied a massive social media community who participated in our “I Stay Strong” photo challenge. Thousands of individuals shared who motivates them to reach their full potential despite living with chronic illness. Iconic national landmarks from Niagara Falls to Aloha Tower lit up orange, amplifying our message on the critical need to address preventable diseases which cause the top seven out of 10 deaths in the U.S. and dominate healthcare expenditures. We hosted events that brought together leaders from biotech, healthcare, and patient advocacy to promote chronic disease prevention and discuss ways to dedicate more resources towards managing unpreventable conditions. In Dallas, we convened a group of healthcare leaders from the private and public sector to highlight opportunities to reduce preventable illnesses and make lifesaving drugs more accessible. In D.C., we joined leaders from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health to promote crucial advancements in chronic disease management, and celebrate the legislative efforts of U.S. Representatives Beth Van Duyne and Jim McGovern. These initiatives reinforce our commitment to transformative healthcare. Your continuing support enables us to continue our work, ensuring those facing chronic diseases have the support they need. Thank you for standing with us in this important mission. Warm regards, Clorinda Walley How Veronica Found Stability in Her Fight Against Cancer Veronica, a resident of South Denver, has faced a daunting battle with breast cancer that has spanned 12 years, evolving into stage 4 and spreading to her back and hip. Her journey has been compounded by heart issues and a serious complication from a blood clot. Amidst her health crises, the financial burden of her treatment became overwhelming, especially when she discovered that her hospital’s assistance program had a long waitlist. Fearing she might need to deplete her retirement savings, Veronica began to search for charitable support and was relieved to find Good Days through the website FindHelp.org. The copay assistance for her costly infusion therapy lifted a tremendous weight off her shoulders. “The copay for my treatments are very expensive,” says Veronica. “I saved money for retirement and did not think I would have to use that money to survive. Good Days has taken a tremendous amount of stress off of me.” The financial strain of ongoing medical treatments had begun to take its toll, affecting both her mental and physical health. Fortunately, Good Days provided Veronica with much-needed stability. “The responsive and compassionate approach of the people at Good Days gave me not just financial relief but also peace of mind,” says Veronica. With her health insurance copayments covered, Veronica can enjoy more time with loved ones, including her mother and daughter. DONATE TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE VERONICA GET ACCESS TO CARE!
